Fashion Council WA's Industry Forum Series: Social Consciousness & Sustainability
Discussing ethical practices and exploring eco-friendly methods of production, this edition of FCWA's Industry Forum Series will enable you to gain valuable insight into having a sustainable product supply chain in the fashion industry.

Ambra Maddalena Fossati of Ambra Maddalena has studied fashion design at the European Institute of Design in Milan, worked at RUSSH magazine and completed a double degree in Broadcasting and Journalism at Edith Cowan University. She has launched her swimwear brand AMBRA MADDALENA using fabrics made from a high quality imported Italian nylon, which is made from 100% recycled materials such as fishing nets and carpet fibres.

Angeline Lloyd of The Love Thread Project is a 27 year old social entrepreneur from Perth. Born in 2014, Love Thread Project was initially the result of a flourishing fashion blog that wanted to do more with its influence. Now it serves as a multi-faceted collaborative platform to educate, restore and empower women at risk in developing countries through fashionable and creative ventures. Through her story and influence in the fashion industry, Angeline has become an advocate for the empowerment of women and a proponent of change for a sustainable future.

Helena Pollard of Pollard Designs is passionate about building genuinely sustainable wardrobes with a social consciousness. Helena has a solid history in social justice and combines her values with her love of textiles to forge a new way in fashion. Working with her mother, Trudi Pollard who is WA's foremost pioneer and recognised Master of Natural Dyes, they have taken artisan textiles with natural and ethical fabrics from studio to store in a sustainable way.
